It's So Amazing by Robie Harris

Summary:

If you are looking for a book that makes it easier to talk to your children about the birds and the bees, this is the one or you! It's So Amazing! covers the topic of the human body and reproduction. With helpful images and explanations, learning about your body is pretty simple.

Evaluative Criteria: Organization

It's So Amazing! just like Primates comes in the form of graphics. It has a lot of visuals that can be used to teach the human anatomy. I believe that this is a successful way to introduce such a topic for students going through puberty, because this book gives information while still being user friendly. It does not come out as a strong, hard to manage book even though the topic can be sensitive to discuss at times. The way this book is organized can help struggling readers understand, especially because it does not bombard the reader with technical terminology or information all at once. What also helps readers is the fact that the book is chunked into sections that can help pin-point areas of discussion rather than reading it all at once if there is no need to. It's So Amazing! brings visuals and information to larger populations.
